Ok...after two days filled with a migraine and sleep I am mostly back in commission. Skylar has been handing me the remote and making sure that I am covered up with at least one stuffed animal at my side! 

To rewind our life a little... Dylan left in April and I have been on modified bed rest at my mothers for the last 3 almost 4 months. This modified bed rest has still not allowed any weight gain; and I am still 12lbs. lighter than when I found out I was pregnant with Stella. You have to love me being pregnant!!!!! Stella Paris is due in early November. Hopefully this will line up with Dyl's R&R. 

Skylar is a vibrant and boundary testing 20 month old. Books....Puzzles....Blocks... and any type of ride-on toy seems to be her love. When Skylar wants to read you should be ready and able to read every book that she has in her purse and every other book that she can find in her basket here at moms. Lately we have been completely in love with the Hallmark Ornament book. I have to explain every picture and who they are! 

This summer Skylar's Aunt KayKay (whom Sky actually calls KaKa) lived in Richmond for her college internship. Being that she stayed at the Shenk's she was only minutes from us! There are tons of pictures of them together and after nap Skylar is still asking for her KaKa. 

Skylar went to her first birthday party about three weeks ago and there in her treat bag she got her first My little Pony. Now she wants a new one everytime we are in a store. So far I have been strong, and Grandmomma J has given in once! We have enjoyed our time in Richmond so far and I have loved the assistance of family with Skylar. 

Almost there... Last week we spent our time at the OBX with Dylan's family. Mimi, ChooChoo(Dylan's dad has trains that Sky LOVES...so this is how she refers to him right now), Aunt KayKay, Aunt Shari, Natalie, Alex, MomMom, and there were a couple visits from Matt and Lydia! Sand was a no go for Skylar most of the week but in the end she actually sat in it and played with her bucket of shells. The wawa(Water) seemed to be her fave! Every morning it was wawa...wawa...wawa! Hopefully he next visit to the beach will be even better for her! I know that we both enjoyed being able to see family and with every visit Skylar's seems to know everyone a little bit better! Natalie will play with her most of the time is she asks, Sky loves Alex but he has to be coaxed a little to pay her attention, but she loves to give him hugs, and Aunt Shari is always good if you want a banana or tomato (Sky LOVES both with a passion). Mimi like to stand up for her when I am trying to discipline and if Sky doesn't like my choice to eat.... Mimi will find something that taste a whole lot better!! 

Now to the present I  have been on the couch most of the week recovering from a stuffy head, sore throat, and lastly a nausiating migraine. Hopefully this is a start to a new week, with me seeing a lot less of the couch!
